Listed Items

System Overview

This service enables a subscriber the ability to tag all their valuable items with a unique ‘QR Tag’ for any business or personal use, so should the item become lost and when found by a person or a 'lost property centre' they can quickly alert you by simply scanning the QR Tag with a mobile phone.

Through this process, you are notified instantly when a lost item is scanned with, the exact address location, and a Google Maps link enabling directions, and finder contact details if provided, so the lost item can be quickly reunited with you.

Any items both personal or business such as laptops, mobile phones, wallets, glasses, scooters, equipment small and large, or anything else, including retailers 'shopping trolleys’ can be found, and retrieved quickly.

This service may also complement your insurance policy where some insurers may provide a further discount.

Additionally, this service also helps you manage your insured items, and items under warranty all in one program.

  • Save you time and stress as we can find your valuable items quickly
  • Be informed instantly when anyone finds your lost item, anywhere in the world

It’s easy to set up for a business or for personal use.

1st Enter in the items you wish to protect by clicking on the 'Add New' button.

2nd Print out the unique QR Coded Tags generated, and adhere them to your items, refer to printing below.

That’s it:

Business users additionally have the option to set up a virtual Geo-Fence around their business, which is great for Supermarkets to manage lost shopping trolleys that stray outside of the geo-fence safe zone.

If any item tagged is lost the software will alert you instantly when it has been found and the QR Tag scanned, by any ‘person’, or a ‘lost and found centre’.

You will be alerted via email where it is, with the exact address, a google maps location enabling directions, and finder details; so you can quickly retrieve your lost item.

It is not uncommon to recover a lost item within the hour with QR Lost Notification.

Geo-Fence Function (Business Users Only)

Business subscribers can set up a secure geo-fence area around their business site, ie a safe zone where scanned items will not raise an alert, which is ideal for items such as 'shopping trolleys' that are not considered lost whilst in the surrounding business car park area.

Click on the 'Manage Geo-fence' function to set up, for the first time, your safe zone area around your business.

To modify an existing geofence already set up, click on the icon for any item to modify by replacing the existing geo-fence for all items linked to a geo-fence.

Only one Geo-Fence area can be set up per business subscription; corporate customized multiple business site geo-fence areas can be arranged by request.

Downloading and Printing the QR Tags

QR Coded Tags can be downloaded via a PDF document and printed onto labels. We recommend using the following sized labels, which are available from most common office stationery stores. ie.

  • Avery Recommended Labels
    • An A4 sheet size of 24 labels per page, with a single label size of 64mm x 33.8mm Rectangular sticky labels.
    • The Avery code reference is L7159 or alternatively 64x33-R
    • The label material has a strong permanent adhesive backing, is UV stable, Water and Dust Resistant.

QR Tags can be printed via this screen and the Edit Item screen

    1. Click the QR Tag icon in the table, to download and print one QR Tag at a time, or
    2. Via the 'Print Options' button, download and print as many QR Tags as you wish, for all or some of your items.
    3. Business users will also see a batch printing option on the screen, enabling hundreds of QR tags to be produced for a single item.

For reference, all QR Tags coded information is unique, no two printed tags are the same, and each tag is coded with a user ID, an item ID, and a sub-reference ID. Even the same tag printed out multiple times has a unique reference number ID difference, which helps to track, say each shopping trolley independently of another.

Shopping Trolleys

As an example, one item only needs to be set up for all of your shopping trolleys, albeit you can set up several items for different types of shopping trolleys; such as one for a standard trolley or one for a trolley with a baby seat, etc.

Batch printing, via the Listed Item's screen, can be used to produce hundreds of QR tags for all of your trolleys from a single-item setup.

Also, for any further understanding, each QR tag printed out, even for the same item, is actually uniquely identifiable to the software when the item is lost and then found. There is an embedded sub-reference for each QR tag printed, this sub-reference enables each shopping trolley to be individually identified, tracked, and recorded uniquely within your software. This process enables one trolley to be recorded as found and recorded as collected but not another, and also further tracking it should someone move it and it is alerted again as lost elsewhere, updating the records accordingly.
